...read to me, because your voice builds a bridge between us! On Saturday 23 November 2024, the Jesolo Public Library celebrates the National Week Born to Read. This initiative, created to promote children's right to listen to stories, takes place from 16 to 24 November 2024 and organises events encouraging reading for young children. Programme: 3.30 p.m. - Meeting for children in the nursery, with their parents and grandparents - Why read to toddlers: the Nati per Leggere programme. Intervention by librarians. - Among the books. Growing up reading! The importance of daily reading with tactile and sound books, stories to whisper or sing to foster the emotional development of children and parents. Talk by Margherita Stevanato, cultural operator at the Centro Studi e Servizi, BarchettaBlu Children's Library in Venice. 4 p.m. - For children aged 2 to 6 - Let's go straight to the stories! Readings by the Nati per Leggere volunteer readers of the civic library. At the end, snack for everyone! The municipal administration welcomes all children born in 2023 and resident in Jesolo, giving them a beautiful book. Come and collect it from the library!
